| PHILOSOPHY
The philosophy of
Chiropractic was initially laid down by D.D. Palmer, the discoverer of
Chiropractic in 1895. B.J. Palmer, the developer of Chiropractic,
restated this in the early 1930's. Chiropractic was first explained
very simplistically as a philosophy, science and an art of things natural.
Chiropractic is a system of adjusting the segments of the spinal column
for the correction of the cause of "dis-ease" (lack of ease). It
was not "disease" as in the medical model. Chiropractic has grown
in stature since the early years. Research papers are available
from Activator Methods, Inc. proving
the subluxation complex does in fact cause disease and is the greatest
and singular cause of dis-ease.
Under the Chiropractic
model it is recognized that there is a universal intelligence that is a
100% giving energy force to environmental objects including the human being.
Chiropractic recognizes that there is an innate intelligence and it is
inside everyone it is constantly adapting to universal forces to maintain
us in equilibrium and to provide us with our humanism. These innate
forces are understood in theory by many people and have been written about
for many years. However, science has not been able to define their
actual method of working. Some feel it is an electrical chemical
field, others feel it is a force field of electromagnetic nature.
Who ever is right is still debatable. The thing that we know for
sure is that the innate force does exist and is constantly contributing
to our ability to maintain life as we know it.
